20 years of the Brandenburg State Stud and stallion parades
At the gates of Berlin lies the stud established in 1788 by Friedrich Willhelm II “for the best of the country”. Located in the east of the Prignitz, a unique, cultural ensemble with classical architecture and untouched nature opens up to the visitors.
The listed area was restored according to the historical model and developed into an event setting. As a treasure from Prussian times, the “Sanssouci of Horses” creates a connection between tradition and future and invites you to spend relaxing and unforgettable hours on the dreamlike property of the Neustadt stud farms.

The highlight in the annual event calendar are the traditional stallion parades in September - and in 2021 they will celebrate their 100th anniversary! Visitors can look forward to a very special program that will take them on the journey from the beginnings of the stallion parades in 1921 to the present day.
As a trademark of the German state studs, the stallion parades illustrate the progress in horse breeding and the activities of a modern breeding and training company. In connection with attractive diagrams for the whole family, the stallion parades exert a great attraction on horse lovers and breeders. Demanding riding performances, the art of carriage driving, spirited stallions, noble mares and exuberant foals attract numerous visitors to the stallion parades in Neustadt (Dosse) every year.
The more than 230-year-old tradition of the stud is brought to life by graphs such as the large dressage quadrille in the historical uniforms of the four Prussian regiments - the Garde du Corps, the Zieten Hussars, Dragoons and Uhlans. Our future is embodied by the foals of the year and highly talented young stallions. The fathers of success vie for the hearts of the audience on Paradeplatz. The stud's greatest treasure - the brood mares - are presented in various tensions in front of valuable carriages from our historical collection.
Before the four-hour events begin, visitors can take a look behind the scenes. The extensive stud area is ideal for walks. Restaurateurs from the region take care of the physical well-being of the guests.
