Take a ride on the Pollo
It steams and snorts on the 9-kilometer route from Lindenberg to Mesendorf - “Pollo”, the only narrow-gauge railway in Brandenburg. From 1897 to 1971 it mainly transported goods across the Prignitz. The railway junction was Lindenberg, which today houses a small railway museum. In the museum in Lindenberg there is a permanent exhibition about the “Pollo”. Here you will find extensive information about the operation, the vehicles and the people who worked for the railway. Models, photos and original documents give an insight into the interesting history of the railway. A collection with many originals has been created on two floors.
